Minister of Housing and Construction Discusses Prospects for Cooperation with the African Union Development Agency (NEPAD)

As part of strengthening cooperative relations with regional and international institutions, His Excellency the Minister of Housing and Construction, Engineer Essam Al-Tamouni, and his accompanying delegation attended the opening meeting at the headquarters of the African Union Development Agency (NEPAD). The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Standing Committee for Monitoring and Implementing the African Union Agenda 2063, Dr. Mohammed Al-Fadel Jabran, the Libyan Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, Dr. Abdul-Qader Al-Nazih, the Agency's Chief of Staff Msingathi Sibooka, Executive Director Advisor Mohammed Al-Karkas, Director of Strategic Planning Mohammed Abdul-Salam, along with a number of agency officials.

The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech by the agency officials, during which they affirmed their keenness to expand prospects for cooperation with the Libyan state and reviewed the agency's prominent programs and activities, in addition to the steps taken to open a representative office in Libya.

In this context, Dr. Mohammed Fadl Jabran explained that the necessary procedures and approvals have been completed and a suitable headquarters has been designated to host the office, contributing to strengthening the partnership between the two sides.

For his part, His Excellency the Minister expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and outstanding organization, emphasizing the importance of this step in opening new horizons for cooperation with the agency in a way that serves the priorities of development and reconstruction in Libya.
