Minister of Housing and Construction participates in the opening of the Italian Design Day and Urban Forum 2026 in Tripoli

Within the framework of strengthening international cooperation and benefiting from global expertise in urban planning and sustainable development, the Minister of Housing and Construction, Eng. Essam Al-Tamouni, participated upon an official invitation from the Italian Embassy in Libya in the opening of the Italian Design Day and Urban Forum 2026, hosted in the capital, Tripoli, with broad participation from officials, diplomats, experts, and those interested in urban affairs.

The forum included a specialized photo exhibition that showcased the most prominent features of Italian architecture in Libya, highlighting the architectural heritage and the importance of preserving it and utilizing it within development and urban rehabilitation plans.

The forum sessions also discussed a range of topics related to sustainable urban planning, mechanisms for heritage conservation, and city development, in addition to exploring ways to enhance joint Libyan-Italian cooperation in the fields of design, engineering, infrastructure, and urban investment.
