Minister of Housing and Construction discusses with a delegation from Al Hawamid Municipality the municipality needs and ways to resume stalled service projects

The Minister of Housing and Construction Engineer Issam Al Tamuni received at the ministry headquarters a delegation from Al Hawamid Municipality including the Mayor Mr Mansour Hassouna Municipal Council member Mr Fawzi Zahlaf and one of the notables of the Al Ghazaya area Mr Mohammed Matouk

The Minister welcomed the visiting delegation stressing the ministry keenness to enhance direct communication with municipalities listen to their needs and follow up on service and development files that contribute to improving the level of services provided to citizens

The meeting discussed a number of stalled projects within the municipality scope mainly sewage and drinking water projects in addition to reviewing a number of priority service and development needs to contribute to improving infrastructure and upgrading the level of services provided to citizens

The Minister confirmed that the ministry is following with interest the situation of stopped projects and is working in coordination with the relevant authorities to address the challenges hindering their implementation to ensure the resumption of work on them and achieve the desired goals

At the end of the meeting the Minister stressed the importance of integrating efforts between the various relevant authorities to support local development and improve the level of basic services in a way that meets the needs of citizens and contributes to enhancing stability and development in the targeted areas
