Minister of Housing and Construction Participates in the First Meeting of the High Committee for the Implementation of the Prime Minister's Youth Housing Initiative
Pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (189) of 2022 regarding the formation of the High Committee for the implementation of the Government of National Unity's initiative for youth housing and needy families, and the organization of related procedures.

Minister of Housing and Construction, Eng. Essam Al-Tawni, participated in the inaugural meeting of the High Committee for the implementation of the Prime Minister's Youth Housing Initiative. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Youth and Head of the High Committee, Mr. Haitham Al-Zahhaf, and held at the Ministry of Youth headquarters, with the attendance of the Minister of Local Government, Mr. Badr Al-Deen Al-Toumi, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank, Mr. Abubakr Misbah, and the Bank’s General Manager, Mr. Hussein Hamouda.

The meeting addressed the follow-up on the initiative's implementation phases and discussed the necessary organizational and technical arrangements to ensure it reaches the targeted youth demographics. Additionally, the attendees explored executive procedures, the adjustment of relevant conditions, and the resolution of complexities to accelerate the pace of work and expand the number of beneficiaries.

Minister of Housing and Construction, Eng. Essam Al-Tawni, affirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting this initiative and enhancing coordination with relevant authorities to establish practical implementation mechanisms. This aims to provide suitable housing opportunities for youth across various regions, in accordance with the approved plans.

The participants agreed to refer the final proposals to the Prime Minister, Mr. Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, for his consideration and approval. This step paves the way for the actual implementation phase of the initiative, reinforcing its goals of empowering youth and providing suitable housing that contributes to social stability.
