Within the framework of the Ministry of Housing and Construction's commitment to carrying out its duties and strengthening its efforts to develop the urban sector, Minister of Housing and Construction, Eng. Issam Jumaa Al-Tamouni, met on Monday, June 15, 2026, with the President of the High Council of State, Dr. Mohamed Takala, at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli. The meeting was held to discuss the ministry's plans and programs aimed at developing the housing and construction sector during the coming phase, in a way that keeps pace with the needs of citizens and supports urban development paths.

The meeting addressed the ministry's efforts in following up on and completing a number of stalled housing projects and working to reactivate them according to clear implementation plans, contributing to improving urban infrastructure and providing practical solutions that meet housing and development requirements.

The two sides also discussed programs for the removal and reconstruction of old buildings and the restructuring of residential neighborhoods in a manner that preserves the architectural character and historical identity, while taking into account aesthetic and heritage aspects in accordance with modern urban foundations.

The Minister of Housing and Construction emphasized the ministry's commitment to continuing the implementation of its tasks and responsibilities in developing cities, improving the quality of life for residents, and promoting sustainable urban development in various regions in accordance with a comprehensive and organized national vision.
