The Minister of Housing held the first meeting to classify past projects and set priorities for the upcoming phase.
Minister of Housing and Construction Holds First Coordination Meeting for Task Forces to Review and Classify Previous Contracts and Projects of the Ministry and Affiliated Entities in Preparation for Prioritizing the First Phase

His Excellency the Minister of Housing and Construction, Engineer Essam Al-Tamouni, held the first coordination meeting for the task forces established by Resolution No. (102) of 2026, which mandated the formation of specialized task forces and defined their responsibilities and operational mechanisms.
The meeting was held as the teams commenced their duties, which include monitoring the performance of the Ministry and its affiliated entities, classifying contracts, setting priorities, managing the current phase of projects, enhancing implementation efficiency, and ensuring the continuity of work. This aims to improve the level of technical services, support the implementation and completion of projects, and reactivate stalled projects according to the highest standards.
During the meeting, the organizational structure of the working groups was reviewed as follows:
* Team Management
* Technical Team
* Finance Team
* Communications Team
* Audit and Follow-up Team
It was also emphasized that the specialized teams would undertake a set of key tasks, including:
* Monitoring the Ministry's affiliated entities and evaluating their performance
* Identifying and reviewing stalled housing projects
* Studying and analyzing the reasons for the stalling
* Studying and classifying previously signed contracts and projects, and selecting appropriate percentages of them as a first phase for the Ministry and its affiliated entities, in preparation for setting implementation priorities for the first phase
* Identifying projects suitable for relaunching
* Addressing legal, financial, and technical challenges
* Supervising and monitoring the relaunching of projects
* Coordinating with relevant entities to achieve the Ministry's objectives
The meeting affirmed the teams' right to utilize the necessary technical and administrative expertise to ensure the efficient and effective execution of their assigned tasks.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister reiterated his full support for the work of these teams and his ongoing monitoring of their progress, stressing the importance of redoubling efforts and working as a unified team to achieve the desired goals and advance the development of the housing sector.
