Minister of Housing and Construction, Engineer Essam Al-Tammouni, participates in an expanded meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office to follow up on addressing visual distortions on Airport Road.

An expanded meeting was held today, Thursday, at the Prime Minister's Office, bringing together Minister of State for Prime Ministerial and Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Ghalbon, Minister of Housing and Construction Essam Al-Tamouni, and Head of the Executive Team for Presidential Initiatives and Strategic Projects Mustafa Al-Mana, along with members of the committee formed by Prime Ministerial Decree No. (157) of 2026, tasked with overseeing the resolution of visual distortions on Airport Road, as part of the ongoing preparations for its opening.

The meeting was also attended by the committee chairman, Colonel Ali Al-Jabri, Deputy Head of the Security Directorates Support Unit in the regions, Major General Abdulhakim Al-Khitouni, Director of the Law Enforcement Department, and Mohammed Al-Majdoubi, Director General of the Transportation Projects Implementation Authority.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the ongoing work and monitored coordination among the relevant authorities to ensure the timely completion of all technical and organizational requirements.

The meeting addressed the urban appearance of Airport Road and ways to comprehensively eliminate visual distortions, emphasizing the need for complete readiness before the opening to guarantee smooth traffic flow and achieve the highest standards of safety and quality. The attendees also stressed the importance of showcasing the project in a civilized manner that reflects the scale of the efforts made in developing the infrastructure of the transportation sector in the country.
