The Minister of Housing discusses reviving stalled housing projects and providing housing for citizens throughout Libya.
In the context of strengthening cooperation between national institutions, the Minister of Housing and Construction, Engineer Essam Al-Tamouni, held a meeting today with the Director General of the Rural Bank, Dr. Khadija Mohamed Al-Ghawil, and the Secretary of the Bank's Board of Directors, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, in the presence of the Director General of the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank, Mr. Al-Hussein Hammouda, along with the Minister's advisors.
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that this meeting comes within the framework of unifying efforts between commercial banks and financing entities to achieve common goals in the housing sector, foremost among them the completion of stalled housing unit projects, in a way that serves the public interest and meets the needs of Libyan citizens.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing and studying the possibility of resuming the implementation of stalled housing projects belonging to the Ministry in various Libyan regions and cities by activating the proposed financing mechanisms, which will contribute to accelerating the pace of completion and providing suitable housing for citizens.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and integration among the relevant parties to ensure the achievement of practical and tangible results on the ground.
