The Minister of Housing and Construction chairs a meeting of the committee to review and update indicative building prices.

As part of the Ministry of Housing and Construction's commitment to developing the construction sector, enhancing spending efficiency, and achieving the highest quality standards, His Excellency the Minister of Housing and Construction, Engineer Essam Al-Tammouni, held a meeting with the Undersecretary for Construction Affairs, Mr. Abdul-Moneim Mohammed, in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee, and Mr. Advisor Abdul-Hadi Belqasim. This meeting, chaired by His Excellency, was for the Review and Update of Indicative Construction Prices Committee and attended by all committee members.

This meeting follows previous meetings on this matter and underscores His Excellency's commitment to continuously monitoring this issue and striving to reach appropriate and balanced solutions that take into account market fluctuations, thereby strengthening the stability of the construction sector.

It also falls within the Ministry's efforts to keep pace with economic changes and market demands, contributing to the establishment of realistic and fair foundations for project implementation according to best practices and approved technical standards.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister emphasized the need to expedite the review of pricing items to align with market changes and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with approved technical specifications and standards. The meeting also addressed several proposals, including the adoption of exceptional measures related to implementation contracts to facilitate project progress, as well as mechanisms for addressing certain special-purpose clauses in coordination with relevant authorities.

This meeting reflects the Ministry's ongoing commitment to developing work mechanisms and enhancing performance efficiency to ensure project quality and support the country's reconstruction and development efforts.
