The Undersecretary for Reconstruction Affairs, Mr. Abdul-Munim Muhammad, held the second meeting of the Committee for Reviewing and Updating Indicative Construction Prices. All committee members were present, along with the Minister's advisor and the Director of his office.

The committee's discussions focused on aligning reference prices with current economic changes. Deliberations included reviewing operational costs and updating the prices of essential materials, particularly concrete and bitumen. A technical analysis was also conducted, examining fluctuations in the building materials market to ensure realistic and fair pricing.

The attendees emphasized governance and transparency standards, stressing the importance of these prices as a primary reference for implementing public projects. This ensures efficient spending and protects public funds.

The committee is currently working on its technical aspects to submit its final, updated report to the Minister for approval and implementation across all relevant sectors.
