The Minister of Housing and Construction is monitoring the progress of development and housing projects in the city of Al-Khums.
The Minister of Housing and Construction, Engineer Essam Al-Tamouni, held an expanded meeting at the Ministry headquarters, attended by the Director General of the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank, several advisors, the Mayor and members of the Khoms Municipal Council, and a number of prominent figures from the city. The meeting was held to follow up on the progress of development projects and to assess the municipality's priority needs.
The meeting focused on discussing the implementation of housing and infrastructure projects within the Khoms municipality. Key vital and strategic projects were reviewed, along with the challenges and difficulties hindering their implementation. Ways to address bottlenecks and accelerate the pace of work were explored to improve service levels and enhance urban stability.
The meeting also addressed the progress of ongoing projects and reviewed current implementation plans. Emphasis was placed on the importance of prioritizing stalled projects and working to resume them. The resolution of outstanding issues was also discussed, using well-defined mechanisms to ensure that implementation begins immediately upon completion of the technical and financial aspects, thus achieving the highest levels of efficiency and quality. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need to adopt sustainable development approaches that support partnerships with the private sector, while ensuring the rationalization of public spending and avoiding placing additional burdens on the state budget. This aims to achieve the desired balance between development requirements and available resources.
