Ministry of Housing and Construction Discusses with South Africa's Council for the Built Environment National Cadre Qualification, Professional Certifications, and Enhancing Infrastructure Cooperation
A high-level bilateral meeting was held between a delegation from the Libyan Ministry of Housing and Construction and the Council for the Built Environment in the Republic of South Africa to discuss ways to strengthen strategic partnership in the construction and building sector, and to develop prospects for joint cooperation in infrastructure and urban development.
The meeting addressed a number of vital topics, including the unification of regulatory frameworks for the built environment, the development of professional and technical standards, and the enhancement of infrastructure governance mechanisms. It also discussed programs for qualifying national cadres and granting professional certifications for essential specializations in the infrastructure field, contributing to the preparation of qualified personnel in accordance with best international practices and standards, and enhancing the efficiency of institutions operating in this vital sector.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and experiences in urban project management, institutional capacity building, and elevating professional performance standards to support the implementation of modern, safe, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides affirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation and expanding partnership areas in alignment with the strategic objectives of the African Union's Agenda 2063, which aims to achieve sustainable development and comprehensive renaissance across the countries of the African continent.
